There’s no central exhibition space, but rather a route that literally takes you to places of great significance in relation to the various projects carried out. Take a walk underneath the covered market, to a gigantic fridge, into the cellars…

What?
Bienvenue/Welkom in Anderlecht was conceived as part of the Résidence Secondaire project/protocol. This consists of bringing together for a week, in a flat immersed in an area, a unique team made up of an artist, a local resident and an elected representative. They live together for a week, sharing both time spent working together and more informal moments of daily life. Based on a theme suggested to them by a group of local residents, they will produce a brief for a future artistic production in the public space. Their reflections are enriched by their exploration of the neighborhood and their encounters with the people who live there. After this week, the artist will have 3 months to produce a work based on the trio’s joint reflections.
Come and see the result!

What?
reto|Branco|Verde, the “Black|White|Green: Bioimages Residences” is a creative project in the field of photography that promotes the production of images through sustainable and ecological practices.
The project is based on two structuring axes: technological-laboratory and artistic-educational. The technological-laboratory axis focuses on innovative processes and technologies, drastically reducing the use of toxic chemistry present in the methods commonly used in conventional photography laboratories. It investigates in an applied way the production of equipment – prototypes – that we call ecolabs. In parallel, the artistic-educational axis presents itself as a territory that enhances sustainability issues from Artistic Practice and Artistic Education, while promoting new ways of ‘doing’ and critical reflection in terms of Image Ecology in its intersection, naturally, with Media Ecology.
During the Cultureghem Festival we will build a new version of our ecolab and use it to photograph the city in the “hors les murs” and by taking portrait pictures to people. We will also have a quimigrams workshop where we will paint using the photographic process.
