Pierre de Lune collaboration

On Wednesday, June 26, the KETMET will have a pARTy test. That day, we are collaborating with Pierre de Lune, founded in 1984 at the Botanique, which is active in the Brussels Region. Its goal is to offer young audiences the richest and most varied cultural offerings possible : contemporary dance, circus arts, music and synergies between performing and visual arts.
Turning the Abattoir into a playground for artists, that afternoon’s floor will welcome Sami Kimpe and Yacou Drabo, two Burkinabe musicians (link to teaser). They will set the stage ablaze and invite you to join them in making music. Peculiarity at its finest. Those who remain seated are wrong.
After this spectacle, we will then have a chance to see Acrobats of “la Scie du Bourgeon” at work. They will perform their show “Encore Heureux,” a story of present, future and past. From young to old and back. A man and woman take you into different spaces share a piece of their story.

Collaboration Cinéma Galeries – L’Heure d’été

For its 13th edition, the L’Heure d’Été festival takes you on a trip to Hong Kong! (link here)
L’Abattoir is transformed into an open-air cinema. In all, we program 8 films in the mornings for toddlers aged 3 and over, in the afternoons for children aged 6 and over, and in the evenings for a wider audience.
Cultureghem wouldn’t be Cultureghem if we didn’t open our kitchen, this time with a smile, to Hong Kong. The films have been selected by our partners at KETMET and our Cultural Committee. There’s something for every taste.

pARTy holiday activities for children
This summer the pARTy vacation activities will also begin. About 11 workshops (“stages”) take place in Cureghem for children and young people from 3 to 17 years old. For each course, we explore a specific artistic discipline: dance, music, visual arts, photography, urban art, etc. The activities are aimed at families and their children who do not always have access to the regular offer. Registrations are done through leaders, organizations that know the children and young people. Huis van het Kind, CAW, Group Intro, … have access to enroll children. Since you never party alone, these placements are in collaboration with several socio-cultural organizations in the neighborhood (MUS-E Belgium, TICTAC ART center, Leon, Cie sQuezz, Vroom, Amadeo Kollectif, Sportpret, Bhyrrr & Skate).
