MJ Rezolution – Le Lemmensois

What?

writing workshop

MJ Rezolution is running writing workshops (in the broadest sense of the word) for children to turn them into festival reporters! Their reports will be published in the local magazine Le Lemmensois!

Recyclart – Canal Palace

What?

co-construction workshop & live painting

Canal Palace – An inflatable installation designed by Lucas Engels, conceived as a medium of expression as playful as it is modular.

Recyclart is making an inflatable museum of the Heyvaert/Duchesse district! Artist Lucas Engels is working on a basic structure made from recycled lorry tarpaulins, which will enable around 15 children to explore the world of recycling rather than waste. We will then use this structure to hang participatory works by young Brussels-based artists interested in reflecting on how we live together. During this process, we will be present at various events along the canal, with a prototype that we made in 2022.

Zinneke

What?

festive workshop

In 2024, Cultureghem is hosting a zinnode from the Zinneke Parade! To mark the start of a wider collaboration, we’re inviting Zinneke to come and give a workshop. Get a taste of the creative atmosphere and the process that leads up to a parade!

circus performance: PROLOGUE

By Soif Totale

Where?

Under the covered market

When?

Wed 20/09, 18:00

What?

Multilingual / language no issue

30min

Prologue is a light-hearted, spontaneous yet well-calculated perspective that will leave you thirsting for more! Thirsty to understand our world, thirsty for our bizarre universe, thirsty to see us approach life from another angle. We can assure you, your mouth will water.

To achieve this, you’ll need a pack of eleven circus performers who don’t speak the same language, an XLR 2.0 sound system with a musician including a guitar and a Hispanic voice, a yellow jumper and a Chinese flagpole, and a juggling glow. To begin with, punctuality is your worst enemy, so set your time zones to those of Soif Totale, and listen to them disastrously to enjoy a particularly uncontrollable situation. Add to this a zest of good humor and determination, as well as a folklore with multiple personalities that will make you see everything. But be careful not to devalue or offend any of these individuals. Division may exist, but unity prevails. Get lost between acrobatic jokes, endless preparation, a hectic catwalk, flying juggling, a unique soundtrack and lots of other childish things. But don’t lose sight of the fact that the aim is to get the show on the road!
