As part of the Festival of the food transition : “Nourrir Bruxelles” , the ‘Collectif du gratin de la colère’ (of which Cultureghem is a member along with a dozen other organizations) is organizing a mobilization on April 11 to highlight the failings of our food system, which is sick and relegated to palliative care today. Producers, social and healthcare workers, civil society and consumers are all trying to remedy a mortifying system, without any real political or economic means being made available to achieve this structurally.
Our collective demands the establishment of dignified and autonomous access to sufficient, quality food for all. Access to quality food is a fundamental human right that requires a coherent, cross-functional transformation of the food system to make it respectful of the environment, health and workers. Fed up with reminders! We will no longer tolerate our food system being relegated to palliative care.
