What a wonderful year this has been! A year of great commitment from the team and Dreamteam, of new enthusiastic colleagues joining us, of reinventing ourselves. A year of eating, playing and sharing encounters under the covered market of Abattoir, on streets and squares in Brussels and far beyond.
Thank you to everyone, far or near, who has put their shoulders to our story this year. It is an honor to create Cultureghem together.
In addition to the many hands that cooked, played and welcomed people together, there were also many who thought with us about our far and near future. In the spring, volunteers and partner organizations came to help think about Cultureghem over the next 5 years. And in November, with the team and Dreamteam, we evaluated our operations of the past year, and planned for the coming year. Many ideas, many dreams and much enthusiasm. We would like to give you a hint already:
- In 2025 you will also find us on streets and squares in the outskirts of Brussels. Partner organizations in this region are already enthusiastic about activating their public space under the guidance of Cultureghem. We received the means from the Flemish government to start inspiring this region with our Vadrouilles over the next 3 years. We will get smarter together, and in what way our Vadrouilles work in a different environment.
- We discovered this fall that we are reaching more and more volunteers, and that we are still dreaming of processing fruits and vegetables into products that have a longer shelf life. In 2025, we will experiment fully with Transfolab.
